Slovenia Receives Its First Best of Morty Award – Won by Enigmarium’s Lost Submarine!

We are delighted to share exciting news: Enigmarium has received the prestigious Best of Morty 2025 award for our game The Lost Submarine: Operation Waterman in Ljubljana.

We are especially proud to be the first and only recipient of this award in Slovenia.

The Best of Morty award is considered one of the most important recognitions in the world of escape rooms and immersive experiences. Morty is the leading global app for discovering and rating immersive attractions, and the awards are based on millions of player ratings across more than 50,000 experiences worldwide. Each year, only a small selection of the very best attractions is chosen.

Our award-winning game The Lost Submarine: Operation Waterman takes players on an exciting mission aboard a time-traveling submarine, where they journey into the legendary story of the Ljubljana Waterman and attempt to rescue the beautiful Urška — before the oxygen runs out.

Being ranked among the world’s top immersive experiences also increases international visibility among dedicated escape room enthusiasts. Many players travel thousands of kilometers – sometimes over 5,000 km – just to experience the best escape rooms, making recognition on global rankings extremely valuable.

These enthusiasts rarely visit just one game; they typically play every escape room in a city or even an entire country, which helps raise awareness of our destination and strengthens the tourism sector.

Enigmarium is a pioneer of escape room games and gamified tourist experiences in Slovenia. Since opening the first escape room in Ljubljana in 2014, the team has created nearly fifty original games and gamified projects in Slovenia and abroad — from escape rooms to the gamification of castles, city centers, and museums — many of which have received national and international awards.
